Based in China for more than twenty years, Cloud Wang is a documentary cinematographer whose work rests on one belief: the most powerful stories are found, not staged. He has followed that belief across China, from the frozen northern forests where he tracked the Siberian tiger, to southern shores where he filmed sea turtle rescues, to the western deserts where he listened for the mating calls of the Tibetan antelope, and to the restless cities of the east, where he observed the stories of modern life.
